About the Foundation

The Campion Foundation was established in 2005 to do more than simply send out checks. We want to leverage the resources we have for the greatest possible impact. We believe that creative collaborations among our experienced staff, risk-taking trustees and visionary nonprofit leaders can do far more than any of us can accomplish alone.

Our vision is to actively work toward an informed and compassionate society where environmentally significant wilderness areas are protected, homelessness is a rare and temporary hardship, and the nonprofit sector thrives with strong support and investment.

Our mission is to leverage foundation resources for the greatest possible impact in protecting pristine wilderness areas in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and western Canada; ending homelessness in Washington state; and strengthening the nonprofit community.

The Campion Foundation is a Washington charitable trust. It is tax exempt as a private foundation under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) and 509(a).
