Ending Homelessness

Washington Low Income Housing Alliance

The Washington Low Income Housing Alliance (the Alliance) promotes safe, decent, and affordable homes for everyone through Advocacy, Communication and Mobilization.

Created in 2003 by the merger of two partner organizations-the Washington Low Income Housing Congress (the Congress) and the Washington Low Income Housing Network (the Network)-the Alliance is a nonprofit, membership organization with more than 200 members including housing, shelter, and social service providers; advocates; local government agencies; lenders; housing professionals; faith groups; and low income individuals.

With a vision that "everyone in Washington will live in a safe, decent, supportive and affordable home," and a mission to "serve the needs of our members in their work to provide safe and affordable housing", the Alliance has become a leading force for the growth of such vital housing and homelessness programs as the Housing Trust Fund and the Washington Families Fund.

For the past three years, the Campion Foundation has helped build the Alliance’s capacity to engage in advocacy and mobilize member organizations. In the year to come, the Alliance will continue to serve as a keystone partner in the Campion Foundation's efforts to leverage resources and generate the systemic changes needed to end homelessness in Washington.
